Spring Creek Highlands provides quality, all natural beef raised in a humane
environment. The meat is fine grained and is naturally low in fat and cholesterol.
Our beef is grass fed and finished. It is disease free and raised on good pasture
and hay. The only supplements they receive are minerals and salt and small amounts
of grain now and then for treats and training. They are not fed any type of
hormones, antibiotics or steroids.
Our beef is sold in quarters (~140 lbs. hanging weight - consisting of one half
divided equally into equal portions), in halves (~260 lbs. hanging weight) or whole
(~510 lbs. hanging weight). The beef sells for $3.50 per hanging weight lb. which
includes the farm slaughter and cutting/wrapping fees.
Your meat is cut and wrapped according to your specifications, then flash frozen.
You have the opportunity to talk to the butcher (Lynden Meat @ 354-2449) to
give cutting instructions once the animal has been slaughtered and is in the aging
process. They will help you to make your choices based on your preferences, (i.e.
weight of your roasts, how thick to cut the steaks, how many lbs. in a hamburger
package, etc.). A standard cut would consist of 3 to 4 lb. roasts, 1" thick steaks
two per package (i.e. Rib Steak, T-bone, Sirloin, Tenderloin, Swiss, Top Round,
etc.), 1 lb hamburger packages, stew meat, short ribs and soup bones. Dog bones
are available for an additional cost. Heart, tongue, liver, etc. are available at no
charge upon request.
Quarters require a $75 deposit, halves require a $125 deposit, whole requires a
$200 deposit (for new customers only). The remaining costs must be paid prior to
beef pickup.
